Dr. Peter Dworak is the new CEO of The Mobility House Energy. The experienced energy executive is taking charge of the company, which specialises in flexibility optimisation, and will drive its European expansion. Peter Dworak brings more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, particularly in establishing energy trading operations in new markets and integrating and optimising them within a cross-border European portfolio. The Mobility House Energy has been trading flexibility in European power and balancing markets since 2016 and today manages an active portfolio of more than 1 GW of storage capacity in four countries.
As renewable energy capacity grows, Europe’s electricity system increasingly needs flexibility. Battery storage systems can absorb electricity when wind and solar generation is high and release it when demand rises. This creates new commercial opportunities for operators and energy suppliers. Using its proprietary trading technology, The Mobility House Energy optimises when batteries charge and discharge and how their flexibility is deployed across energy markets. The company plans to expand this business beyond its existing markets. Alongside its established core markets in Western Europe, the current focus for expansion is on Central and Eastern Europe.
"We are continuing to sharpen our focus: The Mobility House aggregates flexibility from electric vehicles and buildings, while The Mobility House Energy turns flexibility into value in energy markets. For our partners and their customers. Peter knows the markets in Central and Eastern Europe and has built new energy trading organisations there on several occasions. He is the right person to scale this partner business."

More than 30 years of experience in international energy trading
Peter Dworak began his career at PreussenElektra (now E.ON) and subsequently spent 18 years at Atel and later Alpiq. There, he expanded cross-border electricity trading in Central and Eastern Europe and helped establish Alpiq as one of the region’s largest electricity traders. He also drove digital energy projects at an early stage, including a virtual power plant platform in Hungary and digital electricity sales in Poland. He then spent three years at D.Trading, the energy trading company of the DTEK Group, where he established international trading in electricity, gas and liquefied natural gas and integrated the Ukrainian energy portfolio into European markets.
A German-Swiss national of Austrian heritage, Peter Dworak studied physics at RWTH Aachen University and earned a doctorate in energy economics at the Bremen Energy Institute. He has extensive international experience, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe. Dworak has been working with The Mobility House Energy on a project basis since mid-2026, supporting, among other things, the development of its business in Romania and Poland.
"Energy suppliers and traders want to offer flexibility under their own brands without having to build a trading platform themselves. That is where we come in. With our algorithms, our trading expertise and measurable performance. In Bulgaria, Romania and Poland, we are already demonstrating with our partners how this works. We are now taking this model to further European markets."
Peter Dworak,
CEO of The Mobility House Energy
The Mobility House Energy is working with local partners to expand its European business. Existing partnerships in Bulgaria, Romania and Poland are examples of this approach. Alongside geographic expansion, the company continues to develop its trading and optimisation technology, which is already in use by customers.
Clear focus on two growing markets
The appointment of Peter Dworak is part of The Mobility House AG’s strategic focus. With the growing adoption of smart and bidirectional charging solutions and the expanding market for flexibility in the energy system, The Mobility House and The Mobility House Energy are sharpening their focus as two distinct companies, each serving its own markets and customers.
The Mobility House, led by CEO Thomas Raffeiner, focuses on smart energy solutions for electric vehicles and buildings in its role as an aggregator, particularly bidirectional charging (V2G, V2H). Using its technology, the company pools the flexibility of many individual electric vehicles and buildings and makes it available to the energy system. More and more automotive manufacturers are bringing bidirectional charging to market. The technology is already used in commercial customer offerings. Together with leading automotive manufacturers and energy suppliers, The Mobility House aims to make its solutions more widely available across Europe.
The Mobility House Energy, led by CEO Peter Dworak, focuses on optimising and trading flexibility from battery storage and renewable energy assets. As a technology and optimisation partner, the company works with energy suppliers, energy traders and automotive manufacturers that offer its services under their own brands, as well as directly with asset operators. Both companies serve their markets independently while complementing each other: The Mobility House aggregates flexibility from electric vehicles and buildings, while The Mobility House Energy deploys this and other flexibility in energy markets to maximise its commercial value. Dworak’s priorities are clear: expand the partner business, enter further European markets and continuously increase flexibility revenues for partners and their customers.
Marcus Fendt has decided to leave The Mobility House AG after 16 years. As Managing Director and CSO, he is one of the people who have shaped the company, having helped build it from the very beginning. As part of the realignment, he is handing over his responsibilities and will support the transition until the end of March 2027.
"Marcus and I built The Mobility House together. What started as an idea has grown into a successful company – and Marcus has played a pivotal role in making that happen. He has developed new business areas, forged important partnerships and driven our vision forward over the years with tremendous conviction and tireless dedication. Together, we have taken risks, overcome challenges and celebrated major successes. To me, Marcus is far more than a business partner. He is a close companion and friend. I am deeply grateful to him for everything we have achieved together."
